Street Party to Feature Live Music, Entertainment, and More at the 2017 Streets of Lancaster Grand Prix

Post Date:09/28/2017

The Streets of Lancaster Grand Prix (SOLGP) is set to take over Downtown Lancaster this weekend, Friday through Sunday, September 29 - October 1, as professional and amateur go-kart racers push speeds of up to 100 miles per hour on The BLVD.

In addition to three days of action-packed kart racing, the ninth annual SOLGP is also set to deliver a Street Party on The BLVD. Live music and entertainment, a beer garden, activities for the kids, and fun for all will be featured Friday and Saturday, from 6 - 11 p.m.

On Saturday, attendees will enjoy the popular cruise-in car show beginning at 6 p.m. Coordinated by Gary Avant of All Things Engravable, the show will feature tricked-out oldies but goodies, as well as more modern, head-turning rides.

Friday’s entertainment lineup will start with KING, featuring Mel Booker, from 6 - 8 p.m. This band’s blues and funk tunes will make it impossible not to move, groove, and sing along. From 9 - 11 p.m., Heartache Tonight will wow attendees with an authentic tribute to the music of the Eagles.

On Saturday, Metal Shop will rev up the crowd as they perform classic rock hits from 6 - 8 p.m. Live Radio will round out the final hours of the Street Party from 9 - 11 p.m. with high energy renditions of Top 40 hits, dance, pop, and rock.

The Streets of Lancaster Grand Prix will feature local amateurs as well as professional racers from around the country all weekend long beginning at 8 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 10 a.m. on Sunday. A detailed schedule of all the activities for this exciting SOLGP weekend is available at
