It’s been just over 25 years since Wilson Phillips’ self-titled debut album hit number two on the Billboard charts, selling over 10 million copies. Since the trio’s inception in 1990, Wilson Phillips has been nominated for five Grammy Awards, as well as two American Music Awards, and won the Billboard Music Award for Hot 100 Single of the Year for the now iconic “Hold On.” Other popular songs “Release Me” and “You’re in Love” also found their place at number one on the Hot 100 charts.
After a 10-year hiatus, Wilson Phillips reunited; releasing several hit albums, including their most recent, Dedicated. Dedicated, released in honor of the group’s 20th anniversary, consists of cover songs originally penned by their parents, who were members of The Mamas and The Papas as well as The Beach Boys. With their harmony-rich sound, Wilson Phillips remain at the top of their game.
