Frankie Avalon’s music and acting career spans more than 50 years, from his classic Beach Party movies with Annette Funicello, and appearances on a series of variety shows during the golden age of television, to his present day success. In 1978, Avalon appeared as Teen Angel, a character originally modeled after his persona, and performed a stunning version of “Beauty School Dropout” in the film rendition of the hit musical Grease. Frankie Avalon also dominated the music charts for years with dozens of popular songs in the 50s and 60s, including “Why” and “Venus.” As an original teen idol and an icon of American rock and roll music, Avalon continues to entertain audiences worldwide.
