The City of Lancaster is committed to providing enriching experiences for community members. No matter what time of year, there is always an event or fun activity for the family to enjoy. The BLVD    Celebrate Downtown Lancaster Series
The BLVD will play host to ongoing fun-filled celebrations of fine food, music and community. Each event will feature headline entertainment, along with many other exciting entertainers!

                             Join us at the inaugural Lancaster USO-type event. This nostalgic evening will take
                            
you back to the '40s, a time when big bands and big stars took to the stage to lift 
                             our spirits.

                             A Family Friendly Halloween and Harvest Festival
                             Dress in costume, bring the family and join us this Halloween with trick or treating 
                             on The BLVD, semi-spooky movies, carnival rides and more.

This is Lancaster's favorite dog event, held the first Saturday in October at Lancaster City Park. 

SOL Logo    Streets of Lancaster Grand Prix              October 8-10, 2010
Witness the action as professional racers from all over the country roar through the streets of downtown Lancaster at speeds of up to 100 miles per hour in go-karts that sit just an inch off the ground. The whole family will enjoy the accompanying street festival, complete with live entertainment, food, a cruise-in car show, and more.

UNITE Lancaster (Uniting Neighbors In a Team Effort) is a program launched by the City of Lancaster’s Safer Stronger Neighborhoods Committee (SSN) which aims to empower local neighborhoods and strengthen the bonds between neighbors.

Join Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the elves for a warm pancake breakfast, holiday music and cheer each December when Lancaster hosts Breakfast with Santa at Lancaster City Park’s Stanley Kleiner activity center. 

Metrolink    Metrolink Toy Train                                    December TBD
Meet Santa early as he pulls into the Lancaster Metrolink Station aboard the Metrolink Holiday Toy Train. Santa’s special train is aglow with 30,000 lights and, best of all, his musical show at the station is absolutely free for the whole family.

California Poppy      California Poppy Festival                               April 16 & 17, 2011
The California Poppy Festival kicks off spring in the Antelope Valley with a glorious array of celebrated performers, unrivaled events, and mouth-watering delicacies designed to delight, enchant, and amuse people of all ages. 

Egg Hunt    Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza                           April 23, 2011
Hunt eggs and redeem them in for a prize. A variety of children's entertainment will be on hand to provide amusement between hunts. Visit with the Bunny and have a Polaroid taken.

4th of July    4th of July Celebration
Celebrate Independence Day with the entire family and fireworks at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds.
