Why are there cameras on top of some of the traffic signals?
Cameras are in place at several signalized intersections locations throughout City of Lancaster to only detect the presence of vehicles at an intersection, thereby providing service and extended green time. Intersection cameras do not have the capability to take photographs or record video.
