Be Ready

Here in the Antelope Valley we have wide-open spaces, clean air, and beautiful views.  However, we also have a wide variety of bad things that can happen to us, including earthquakes, floods, fires, train derailments, terrorism, tornadoes, dust storms, and much, much more.  It's important to be prepared so that if and when something does happen, we will be able to ride it out.

Use the links at left to learn how you can prepare in a variety of ways.  Downloadable two-page tip-sheets are available for each topic, and can also be accessed from the Downloads page.  You can also download the entire Be Ready Series [ZIP, 2096Kb].
