Council Member Raj Malhi announces Ready Lancaster. Read press release.

We all know Emergency Preparedness is important. But sometimes the task can seem a bit daunting. We've consolidated the info into 3 simple steps -- which can be accomplished over a weekend, or the course of a few evenings. We've included links to trusted sources such as PrepareSoCal and Ready.Gov to get you started.

1. Get a KIT

(Can be found at local stores such as Walmart and Costco or purchased online)

2. Prep your HOME

(And know what to do in an emergency)

3. Make a PLAN*

*Don't forget -- a good emergency plan includes sources from which you'll get official emergency information. Sign up for Nixle, Lancaster's emergency notification system.
