Lancaster, CA. July 25, 2024 – Enjoy a night of family fun and community safety at the City of Lancaster’s third annual National Night Out on Thursday, August 1 on The BLVD. This free event is part of a national community-building campaign that promotes partnerships and connections between police and the community. Residents are encouraged to join the festivities and foster camaraderie between neighbors and law enforcement while promoting local anti-crime efforts.

"National Night Out is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together, build stronger relationships with our local law enforcement, and reaffirm our commitment to creating a safe, welcoming City for everyone,” said Mayor R. Rex Parris. “It’s a chance for residents to connect with our police officers and demonstrate the unity and security of our community. I encourage everyone to join the festivities and meet the dedicated members of our new Lancaster Police Department."

National Night Out is a cherished nationwide campaign that aims to foster partnerships between law enforcement and residents, making our neighborhoods safer, and better places to live. Taking place annually in August, this event offers a unique opportunity to unite police and neighbors, combining fun activities with crime and drug prevention awareness campaigns to combat criminal activities.

The event will feature various informational booths, including representatives from the LA County Sheriff’s Department, LA County Fire Department, CHP, local non-profit agencies, and the Lancaster Police Department. Attendees can interact with local officials, explore law enforcement vehicles and equipment up close, and gain valuable insights into the community's safety measures. 

As another fun experience, residents will have the exciting opportunity to win a variety of raffle prizes. Plus, the joy of the evening will be amplified as one lucky boy and girl will each win a brand-new bicycle, sparking lifelong memories.
