Lancaster, CA. February 20, 2025 – The Lancaster Performing Arts Center Foundation (LPACF) is proud to announce its annual Performing Arts Scholarship program, awarding a $5,000 scholarship to a deserving local high school senior pursuing higher education in the arts.

This prestigious scholarship is designed to support and encourage young artists as they further their education in fields such as music, theater, dance, and other performing arts disciplines. Eligible applicants must demonstrate exceptional talent, strong academic performance, a commitment to community involvement, and a passion for the arts.

To be considered, students must submit:

  • An online application
  • A showcase of their artistic talent or skill
  • Academic records demonstrating their scholastic achievements
  • A short essay highlighting their passion for the arts and future aspirations
  • A record of community involvement and service

Finalists will also be required to participate in an audition to present their artistic talent before a distinguished panel of judges, including Alisha Gaddis, an Emmy Award-winning actress, producer, multi-Grammy Award-winner, writer, humorist, and filmmaker. Gaddis’ impressive career in the arts brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise, offering invaluable insight in selecting the scholarship recipient.

"The Lancaster Performing Arts Center Foundation is committed to fostering the next generation of artists by providing financial support and recognition to those dedicated to the arts,” said Steven Derryberry, President of the LPACF Board. "With Alisha Gaddis joining our panel of judges, this year’s scholarship process will be even more exciting and inspiring for our applicants. We are excited to see the incredible talent within our community and look forward to supporting a student on their artistic journey."

Applications for the LPACF Performing Arts Scholarship are now open. Interested students can visit https://www.lpacf.org/scholarship.html for more details and to apply. The deadline for application submissions is March 31, 2025. Finalists will be selected by April 30, 2025.
