Lancaster, CA. March 20, 2025 – The City of Lancaster, in coordination with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), is sharing road maintenance scheduled through March 27 to enhance roadway conditions and safety. The freeways affected include State Route (SR) 14 and SR 138 as follows:
- 3/20: SR 138 West from 190th West to 14 Freeway
- 3/24: SR 138 East from 213th Street East to County Line
- 3/25: SR 138 East from County Line to 213th Street East
- 3/26: SR 14 North from Palmdale Boulevard to Red Rover Mind Road
- 3/27: SR 14 South from Red Rover Road to Palmdale Boulevard
Maintenance on these roads include sweeping of the center median and right shoulder, removal of unsheltered encampments, grading of right shoulders, and sweeping of on-ramps and off-ramps. Drivers can stay safe while traveling through maintenance work zones by driving with caution, obeying posted speed limits, and expecting delays – especially during peak travel times.
