Lancaster, CA. April 28, 2025 – The Lancaster Museum of Art and History (MOAH) is pleased to announce their latest exhibition, m\other, will be on view from Saturday, May 10 to Sunday, August 31. The opening reception for the exhibition will be held at MOAH on Saturday, May 10 from 2 to 4 p.m.

This exciting exhibition highlights the work of artists Tanya Aguiñiga, Marthe Aponte, Zackary Drucker, Gina Herrera, and Nike Schroeder. With a focus on fiber and textile art, m\other, offers a fresh perspective of what it can mean to “mother,” challenging dominant narratives surrounding matriarchy and femininity. The artists featured in m\other engage with themes of queer, indigenous, and spiritual motherhood to explore multifaceted interpretations of care, creation, and resilience. This exhibition is an opportunity to see how these artists are redefining what it means to care, create, and nurture.
