Lancaster, CA. June 25, 2025 -- The City of Lancaster is thrilled to invite the community back to The BLVD for an unforgettable evening of music, fun, and summer celebration at the Summer Block Party, taking place Saturday, June 28 from 5 to 9 p.m.

“This block party is all about creating moments that connect our community,” said Mayor R. Rex Parris. “We’re excited to welcome Gym Class Heroes to Lancaster and to celebrate summer with an evening of incredible music, food, and entertainment. The drone show will be a spectacular way to wrap up a night of joy and unity.”

Headlining this year’s event is none other than Gym Class Heroes, the genre-blending band behind hits like “Cupid’s Chokehold,” “Stereo Hearts,” and “The Queen and I.” Known for fusing hip-hop, rock, funk, and soul with live instrumentation and socially perceptive lyrics, the band brings a dynamic energy and nostalgic charm to the main stage. Their performance is scheduled for 7:20 p.m. and is completely free to the public.

This all-ages event is packed with fun for everyone. Families can dive into hands-on entertainment like bubble mania, balloon twisting, glitter tattoos, face painting, crafts, jumpers, and a foam party—plus snap keepsake pics at a nostalgic VW van photo booth or with on-site caricature artists capturing the evening’s spirit. Visitors can shop and explore among dozens of vendors offering everything from handmade crafts and accessories to information on local services and community resources.

A delicious spread of local eats will be available, from vendors like Tacos El Afro, Cheat Day AV, Kona Ice of Lancaster, and Drippys Gourmet Ice Cream Sandwiches, with something for every craving. Adults can also relax and recharge in the event’s beer garden.

Lancaster’s Summer Block Party is  a reflection of the City’s commitment to creating high-quality, inclusive community events. Led by the City’s PARCS (Parks, Arts, Recreation, and Community Services) team, these programs are designed to bring people together, celebrate local culture, and offer fun, free, and memorable experiences for residents of all ages.
