Lancaster, CA. July 23, 2025 – The City of Lancaster is proud to kick off the back-to-school season with its 4th Annual Backpack Giveaway on Friday, August 2, 2025, providing 10,000 free backpacks filled with school supplies to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This citywide event reflects Lancaster’s ongoing commitment to supporting families and ensuring every student starts the school year prepared and empowered. “Lancaster continues to invest in our youth by giving them the tools and resources they need to thrive in and beyond the classroom,” said Mayor R. Rex Parris. “This event is a celebration of learning, wellness, and community—and we’re honored to support families as they prepare for the school year ahead.”

Backpack Giveaway Hub Locations

Backpacks and services will be available at the following locations from 9 AM to 12 PM:

• Lancaster Municipal Stadium – 45116 Valley Central Way

• Eastside High School – 3200 E Ave J 8

• Parkview Educational Complex – 44327 Fig Ave

• Joe Walker Middle School – 5632 W Ave L 8

Immunizations & Health Services

In addition to free backpacks and supplies, students will have access to free back-to-school immunizations through Bartz-Altadonna, Kaiser Permanente, and CAAASA at all hub locations. cityoflancaster.jotformgov.com/251405907755158
