Lancaster, CA. April 13, 2026 – The City of Lancaster, in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity LA, is excited to announce an upcoming informational session for the Mobilehome Rehab Program. The program offers up to $150,000 in loans to eligible mobilehome owners in Lancaster to assist with necessary home repairs.

Habitat for Humanity LA will be hosting the session to guide residents through the application process and answer questions regarding eligibility and home assessments. The session will take place on Saturday, April 25 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Lancaster Community Center, 44611 Yucca Avenue.

“Lancaster thrives when our neighborhoods are strong, and that starts with safe, well-maintained homes,” said Mayor R. Rex Parris. “Working alongside Habitat for Humanity LA, we are proud to offer this lifeline to our mobile home residents. I encourage everyone to attend this session, ask questions, and take the first step toward revitalizing their home.”

To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Own and live in a mobile or manufactured home within the City of Lancaster limits.

  • Occupy the home as a primary residence.

  • Be a low-income resident (≤80% Area Median Income).

  • Must have (or obtain) homeowner's insurance.

  • Have no bankruptcies within the last 5 years.

  • Recreational Vehicles (RVs) are not eligible.

The program offers a maximum loan of $150,000 with 0% interest and deferred payments. For homes with a non-permanent foundation located in a mobilehome park, the loan is forgivable. Forgiveness begins at 10% annually starting in the 11th year and is fully forgiven after 20 years of occupancy.

Attendees will learn about the multi-step application process, which includes an initial screening, income verification, a site assessment and the submission of contractor estimates.
