image00034The Lancaster Performing Arts Center Foundation (LPACF) invites patrons to don their finest pearls, feathers, and fedoras for the sixth annual Speakeasy fundraiser at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center on Saturday, January 25 at 8 p.m.

Step back into the 1920s as you kick up your heels to the rhythm of the boisterous Grammy-nominated California Feetwarmers. This evening filled with frivolity, fun, and flair will be complete with blackjack, poker, craps, and roulette – offering chances to win unique prizes. Enjoy a freshly rolled cigar in the outdoor lounge sponsored by H.W. Hunter Inc.; photo fun in the Spotlight Photo Booth sponsored by Dr. Ruwanthi Campano; delicious hors d’oeuvres; and a cash bar. A roaring good time will be had by all.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the LPAC Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Federal Tax ID# 95-4221909), which: provides Arts for Youth ticket scholarships and bus funding assistance to thousands of Antelope Valley students; funds outreaches and workshops on local school campuses; and also awards an annual Performing Arts Scholarship in support of higher education within the arts. In addition, the Foundation contributes toward capital and facility enhancements at LPAC, providing a beautiful venue that will continue to serve our community for many years to come.

The Foundation Board of Directors consists of R. Steven Derryberry, President; Dr. John Porter, Ed.D, Vice President; Timothy Doerfler, Treasurer; Dr. Ric Garrison, M.D., Secretary; as well as directors, Gretchen Anton; Tom Backemeyer; Mark V. Bozigian; Shawn Cabey; Jennifer Duke; Tim Fuller; Harvey Holloway; Nikki Olofson; Bill Silva; and Becky Smith.

Tickets are $50 per person and may be purchased online at www.lpac.org at the LPAC Box Office, 750 W. Lancaster Blvd., by phone at (661) 723-5950, or through any of the LPACF Directors. For more information, please visit www.lpacf.org or contact the LPAC Foundation office at (661) 723-6096 or info@lpacf.org.
