Steven Derryberry is a long-time Antelope Valley resident and managing partner of Derryberry & Associates LLP with a deep-seated vested interest in the region's future. His extensive record of community service focuses on improving the quality of life, civic health, and cultural vitality for local residents. Having served as the Chairman of the Lancaster Healthy Community Commission, Derryberry thoroughly understands public meeting governance and believes that transparent communication, education, and open-minded collaboration are vital for responsible public agencies to make informed, lawful decisions that empower the community.

Professionally, Derryberry brings specialized experience in real estate law, business and corporate development, civil litigation, and employment labor issues. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with honors from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, concentrating in Finance, and earned his Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law, where he excelled in the Trial Advocacy Honors Program. Admitted to the State Bar of California in 2006, he has been recognized as a Top Rated Super Lawyer from 2025 through the present, equipping him with the precise analytical framework necessary to navigate complex municipal planning and development challenges.

Appointed by the Mayor and City Council, Derryberry further serves the community as the President of the Lancaster Performing Arts Center (LPAC) Foundation board. Steven resides locally with his wife, Courtney, and their three daughters, with whom he enjoys spending time in the nearby mountains and lakes.
