The City of Lancaster is making it easier than ever for residents to build an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) by offering a selection of Pre-approved ADU plans designed by the renowned architectural firm, RRM Design Group. 

These thoughtfully designed plans:

How the Plans Work

• Plans are purchased on the Accela Citizen Access (ACA) Portal through the City’s Building & Safety Division.

   

• Homeowners can choose from five designs— Poppy, Juniper, Goldenbrush, Primrose, Sunflower— each available in either a California Ranch or Mediterranean architectural style.

Each plan package includes most of the design documents required for the permitting process, helping streamline approval. A project-specific site plan is still required for each application.
