PARK CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS

Exciting changes are coming! Construction improvements at Samaritan’s Purse Park are officially scheduled to begin the week of January 20, 2026. Improvements will include a new, accessible playground, splash pad, skate spot, basketball court, rehabilitated activity building, improved lighting, and much more! We expect the project to continue through the beginning of August. The park will be closed, fenced, and inaccessible to the public during this time.

We’re thrilled to bring these improvements to the neighborhood and appreciate your patience as we build a better Lancaster! This project is made possible by funding from the California Drought, Water, Parks, Climate, Coastal Protection, and Outdoor Access for All Act of 2018 (Prop 68) and the Los Angeles County Park and Open Space District (Measure A).

Formerly known as El Dorado Park, Samaritan’s Purse Park honors the impactful work of the Samaritan’s Purse organization in Lancaster. El Dorado was one of three county parks that were provided to the City when it incorporated in 1977.
