In an effort to help small businesses prepare to reopen as quickly and safely as possible under the guidelines of Los Angeles County and the State of California, the Lancaster City Council has enacted the Stand Strong Reopening Assistance Program. The program is designed to lessen the costs of reopening for small businesses, save business owners time and effort sourcing hard-to-find supplies, and keep our community safe as we reopen our economy.
What is it?
Under the Stand Strong Reopening Assistance Program, the City of Lancaster will work to provide small businesses with the supplies and equipment they need to reopen safely, free of charge. It is anticipated that needs for most businesses will include some of the following items, many of which can be difficult to source amidst ongoing shortages:
- Hand sanitizer
- Face masks
- Latex gloves
- CDC-approved cleaning products
- Paper towels
- Plexiglass shields
The program has the flexibility to provide additional supplies and equipment as appropriate and necessary. Please indicate any additional needs in your application.
Who is eligible?
To qualify for the program, a business must:
- Be an independent, locally-owned small business whose primary business operation is located within the Lancaster City limits
- Have one or more brick-and-mortar locations subject to the public health guidelines put in place by Los Angeles County and the State of California
- Have annual gross revenue of $3.5 million or less
How will assistance be provided?
Supplies will be issued directly to eligible applicants on a first-come, first-served basis until program funds are exhausted.
